About Me
I believe therapy should be accessible and tailored to each client's unique needs, whether that means meeting in person, virtually, or by phone when appropriate. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel safe, heard, and empowered.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered and client-centered therapy. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to meet you where you are while working collaboratively to help you reach your goals. I also draw from psychodynamic theory, recognizing that our past experiences often influence our present thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Additionally, I incorporate attachment theory and evidence-based couples interventions, including principles from the Gottman Method, to help individuals and couples build stronger, healthier connections.
My passion for mental health began in high school when I served as a peer counselor, and every role I've held since has centered around supporting others. My own experiences with childhood grief and loss taught me the value of having a strong support system and a caring community. Those experiences inspired me to pursue this work and to become someone who can walk alongside others during difficult seasons of life. Throughout my career, I have worked as a certified sexual violence crisis counselor, supported survivors through advocacy, facilitated both individual and group counseling, and currently provide counseling services to middle school students. My experience in crisis intervention and working with diverse populations has prepared me to support clients with compassion, flexibility, and understanding.
