About Me
At any moment in our lives, we, as individuals, or as family systems, may encounter many experiences that entail the complexities of fear, solitude, changes in phases of life, grief, trauma, or a variety of emotions too difficult to decipher on our own. You may be finding yourself torn between two different worlds, searching for any acknowledgement of the self by soul searching or by searching for validation from your environment - perhaps all the while juggling systemic barriers as well.
Hello, I am Nora F. Espinosa Iñiguez, a Latina Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. For several years, I’ve worked with diverse clients, including those from varied racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, mixed-status families, single or divorced parents, monolingual households, caregivers, individuals with special needs, domestic violence survivors, chronic illness patients, and those managing active cancer diagnoses, among others. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, offering a therapeutic space of acceptance and understanding. As a clinician, I specialize in neurodivergent communities of all ages, youth, young adults, and Latine communities, drawing on my cultural competence and Spanish fluency. I recognize the challenge of achieving representation without forging our own paths, especially for communities that may distrust systems due to generational experiences. My goal is to break these cycles by fostering connection through empathetic, client-centered, and psychodynamic approaches, empowering minorities, and communities of color.
I offer individual, couples, youth, and family therapy, utilizingPerson-Centered Therapy, the Gottman Method, Somatic-Based Therapy, CBT, DBT, or other approaches tailored to your needs. For multicultural individuals, respecting and honoring diverse cultural identities is essential, and I am committed to fostering this in our therapeutic space.
Fluent in Spanish.
