About Me
Navigating life's challenges sometimes means reaching out for support. Although taking
that first step can feel difficult, recognizing when to seek help is a sign of strength and an
important part of the healing process.
As a graduate forensic psychology and counseling student completing my practicum, I am
continually developing and refining my clinical skills through both coursework and
supervised practice. My counseling approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and
emphasizes intersectionality, multiculturalism, and a systems perspective. I value a
holistic approach that incorporates principles of positive psychology, recognizing that
mental health is influenced by many interconnected factors. In addition to exploring
presenting concerns and symptoms, I believe it is important to consider aspects of overall
well-being, such as sleep, nutrition, relationships, and support systems.
My experience has primarily been with adolescents and young adults, including at-risk
populations such as youth in foster care and incarcerated youth. These experiences have
reinforced the importance of building trust, fostering consistency, and creating a strong
sense of community. I strive to provide a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental
environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to walk alongside
you throughout your mental health journey, tailoring my approach to best meet your
unique needs and help you work toward meaningful growth
