About Me

Many children and families reach a place in life where things feel heavy and unclear, especially when they are going through immigration stress, foster care placement, or family separation. A lot of the kids I work with struggle with anger, defiance, anxiety, depression, substance use, and problems at school or at home, and many caregivers feel lost and don’t know what else to try. In my work as a bilingual (Spanish/English) clinical therapist, with over six years of experience, I have seen how these struggles can build over time if they are not supported. I have worked in residential homes, with immigrant children, and now with youth in the foster care system, including kids with autism and ADHD. I believe healing does not happen all at once, but little by little, when kids feel safe enough to express what they are holding inside. My approach is trauma informed and culturally responsive, focusing on emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, and learning how to keep going even when things are hard. Growth comes when we stop trying to rush the process and instead meet people where they are, because no child or family should have to walk through these moments alone.
