About Me
I believe healing begins with feeling truly seen and understood. Not just for what you’ve survived, but for who you are underneath all the coping and armor. Therapy, at its best, creates a space where you don’t have to hold everything alone. A place where your pain, your story, and your resilience are all welcome.
Hi, I’m Dr. Jennifer Davenport. I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counseling. My background includes working with individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, grief, and the long-term effects of high-stress environments. I have deep respect for the experiences of veterans, first responders, and those whose bodies and nervous systems have had to stay on alert for too long. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and the belief that you don’t have to be “fixed” to be cared for.
In our work together, we might slow down enough to hear what your body has been trying to tell you, explore the stories you’ve had to carry alone, or build tools to manage pain and anxiety with more ease. I integrate polyvagal-informed therapy, somatic practices, and family systems work. For couples, I often use the Gottman Method to support honest communication and repair.
Whether you are a parent, a veteran, a responder, or someone who has always felt the need to stay strong for others, my hope is that you can find rest here. Even in remote therapy, connection is possible. You don’t have to do this alone.
