About Me
My name is Erika Tecolocoyotl, and I am an AMFT (#156826) Somatic Therapist. I integrate Somatic Therapy, Processwork, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, IFS, and a holistic Indigenous perspective through a decolonial lens. My path began with my own healing journey, where I discovered a deep sense of empowerment and multidimensionality. This experience revealed my calling to walk alongside others in their awakening and healing.
Rooted in my Indigenous background, I understand healing as harmony between mind, body, heart, spirit, and environment. I view the land and our interconnectedness as vital elements of well-being, a perspective affirmed by both Indigenous cosmologies and modern understandings of interconnected systems. By weaving ancestral wisdom with contemporary approaches, I offer a dynamic, trauma-informed, and inclusive path toward healing.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy carrying the weight of everyday uncertainty and a longing for a deeper sense of self. They may be uncovering parts of themselves not yet fully conscious, moving through grief or anxiety, or navigating significant life transitions. Often, they are also seeking to integrate traumatic experiences and find that they want something more than traditional talk therapy.
Through somatic, earth-based, and trauma-informed practices, our work gently untangles layers of pain and disconnection. Rooted in Indigenous knowledge and supported by contemporary approaches, this process invites harmony between mind, body, heart, spirit, and environment. It offers a path of reconnection to inner wisdom, resilience, and the capacity for healing—allowing clarity, empowerment, and deeper connection to emerge in daily life.
