About Me
Being a human is freaking hard. I don't know how to live your life but want to join with you in facing your current situation and figuring out what can change, what hard realities require adaptation and acceptance, and how to move towards these opportunities for growth.
I have studied psychology and psychoanalysis in depth, taught a graduate level class at UCLA on the DSM, twice, and have worked on college campuses, outpatient mental health facilities, and inside psychiatric facilities, and I built a nonprofit business in public mental health (paintedbrain.org). I have worked with literally thousands of therapy clients, some for more than a decade.
With all this knowledge and experience I will humbly try to meet with you and connect with you with no preconceptions and an attempt to connect. The therapeutic relationship we potentially form is where and how the work happens. My style might feel informal, my goal is to be by your side, facing your life situation and history with you, in your corner. I look forward to meeting you.
