Recently, a portion of our leadership team traveled to Northern California to spend time face-to-face with our Remarkable Clinicians.

We shared meals, good conversation, and time together at Fusion Academy—and one thing became clear right away: there’s a kind of connection that only happens in-person.

Virtual connection isn’t going anywhere. It’s an important part of how we work and care for others. But being together, face-to-face, brings something different. The energy shifts. Trust builds more quickly. Conversations start naturally creating more space for new pathways for meaning.

There was a real sense of excitement in the room—people catching up, sharing stories, some meeting for the first time, and connecting beyond a Teams screen. We weren’t just colleagues in that space—we were people getting to know each other. And because of that, alignment didn’t have to be forced. It just happened.

When we’re together in person, we don’t just communicate—we actually connect.

Moving Forward

As we continue to grow across the state, we’re being intentional about creating more opportunities to gather in person—not instead of virtual, but alongside it.

Our remote model has allowed us to expand, innovate, and reach more people who need care. That’s something we’re proud of, and it’s not changing. But as we grow, we also need balance.

My goal is simple: create more opportunities for meaningful, in-person connection across California while continuing to strengthen the virtual spaces that keep us connected every day.

When we host something near you, we hope you’ll come. Step into the room. Be part of the experience. It’s something that just can’t be replicated online.

What this looks like going forward:

  • More intentional in-person gatherings across California to build relationships and strengthen alignment
  • Continued opportunities to learn and collaborate, both in person and through virtual workshops
  • Stronger virtual spaces—like this newsletter—to share ideas, learn from each other, and stay connected between events
  • Thoughtful expansion of in-person services where it best supports our clients and enhances care

Thank you to everyone who joined us—your presence truly made a difference. Looking forward to the next time we can be together.
